Backstory
At first, it seemed like the Ballade de Ciels mob faced a bright future. They had finally recovered from the war, & with the pregnancy of Lubov', everyone was in high spirits. Well, it appeared that way. When her mate, Umarmung, noticed her symptoms of Distemper, the young couple was horrified! The pack's Witchdoctor desperately tried to cure her before the pups were due - but it was too late; four out of her five pups came out dead... Quickly followed by her. Kochav was the only survivor of the litter, but Umarmung was too inexperienced & mortified (*cough*& cowardly*cough*) to take care of her. So, poor "parentless" Koch was shoved off to one adoptive mother to the next; very few adults believed she was innocent & not bad luck. Most of the younglings were told to stay away from her, so they took to belittling Kochav instead. She then put up a front & began to bully others, trying not to show her insecurities. Only one decided to become her friend, Thaddeus, the only-child of the Alpha pair. He appeared to dislike being born into a high rank, preferring to work & improve his various skills instead. They finally decided to run away together, as his parents began to berate him due to his & Koch's close relationship, & that her own harsh treatment wasn't improving at all. Many months passed as Kochav & Thaddeus wandered about, until they found Ravenous Renegade. Kochav, wanting to start a new life, joined RR; Thadd, who was concerned about cannibalism, chickened out & left. Although they promised to see eachother again, Kocha still hasn't seen her buddy since.
