I constantly see people asking what so and so means. A lot of newer roleplayers don't understand or hear of many of the terms. Heck even some long-term roleplayers may not know a few of these lesser known ones. Hopefully this enlightens you some and next time someone asks you'll be able to tell them what it means.
Powerplay - Doing something in character that is really overpowered and highly unrealistic. (ie: Killing someone in a single post)
Semi-Literate- Posts with good grammar, punctuation and contains a few sentences to a paragraph.
Illiterate - Improper spelling, may lack capitalization. Over all a very poor post. Usually very short.
Para Roleplay - Roleplay dealing with paragraph posts.
Multi Para Roleplay - A roleplay that deals with multiple paragraph posts
Story Book Style - Another way to more or less describe literate roleplaying style.
OTP - One true pairing, a couple you really like or two characters you'd like to see together. Usually your favorite.
RL - Simply means real life, referencing things outside of the roleplay and game in general. (IRL may be used too)
Char - Refers to the character you're roleplaying as, shortened form of character (the term charrie may be used)
Out oc character- When you're not roleplaying at the moment or in character (OOC)
In character- When you are in roleplay and in character (IC)
MarySue- A perfect character that's stereotypical and annoying (Gary Stu my be used too)
Godmodding- Controling another character's actions, thoughts or dialogue without permission (Godmode)

Metagaming- Roleplaying in a post beyond the characters knowledge, but that is known to the person Out Of Character (Metagame)
One liner- Post consisting on only one line of text
Autohitting- Automatically have an attack hit or land without the chance of letting the other character attack.
Literate- Post that contain mutiple, well written paragraphs with good grammar and spelling. Typically well usage of the English language, detail and flows well.
